The main topic of the meeting was the implementation of measures to ensure fire safety in children's health camps. In 2026, it is planned to involve more than 1,100 camps of various forms of recreation in the region as part of the children's health campaign. Preventive measures and practical evacuation drills for staff actions in case of fire have been conducted at all facilities. Special attention was paid to country camps that are at risk of forest and peat fires. At the beginning of each shift, employees of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia for the Nizhny Novgorod region plan to conduct lectures and discussions using visual materials and practical classes, focusing on institutions located near water bodies. All children's recreation facilities are equipped with automatic fire alarms connected to the fire department's control panel and primary fire extinguishing means. An inspection of electrical networks and equipment is being carried out, including the use of thermal imaging equipment. The meeting also addressed the readiness of facilities and settlements in the region for the fire hazard period.
