Evgeny Petrov, Vice President, Director of the Nizhny Novgorod branch of PJSC "Rostelecom":
"Interest in technology is only growing every year, and journalism is definitely following this trend. It is the representatives of the media who first identify trends and fix digital breakthroughs. It is noteworthy that materials about artificial intelligence were submitted to the competition long before neural networks became commonplace. Today, the topic of AI is key in the works of participants. At the same time, issues of cybercrime are becoming increasingly acute in the materials. It is valuable that journalists create content that not only informs but also warns."
The dark side of the digital world was discussed in her work "Incoming from the Curator" by correspondent and host of GTRK "Nizhny Novgorod" Yulia Chagaeva. The film about the recruitment of children on the internet features real stories of teenagers.
Yulia Chagaeva:
"It's great that the project has a special nomination 'Cyber Risks in the Children's Environment'. This is indeed an important and timely topic. Our film openly discusses the recruitment of children into criminal communities. For me, it is important that this work has been noticed and supported. Thanks to the competition, more parents and teenagers will be able to watch the film and assess the risks."
The results of the competition will be announced in early July in Moscow. The winners - participants who took first places in the main and special nominations at the federal level - will visit the Arctic in August.
The project "Together into the Digital Future" is conducted with the partnership participation of the Ministry of Digital Development, Communications and Mass Communications of the Russian Federation, the largest Russian software developer for managing dynamic IT infrastructure "Basis", as well as the Alliance for the Protection of Children in the Digital Environment.
