May 28, 2026 19:49 Incidents Police have uncovered the illegal trafficking of narcotic substances in the village of Krasnye Baki. This was reported by the press service of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the Nizhny Novgorod region. A 30-year-old local resident, who has no prior convictions, grew narcotic plants in the spring of this year. He cut, dried, and stored some of them in his home. During the inspection of the suspect's house, police discovered and seized nine bushes of plants resembling cannabis, three jars of various sizes, seeds, and a paper bundle with dried plants weighing a total of 51.7 grams. All of this was confiscated by law enforcement and sent for examination to the Forensic Center of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the Nizhny Novgorod region. A criminal case has been initiated against the man under part 3 of article 30 and part 3 of article 228.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (attempted illegal production, sale, or transfer of narcotic substances, psychotropic substances, or their analogs).
