On May 28, 2026, at 11:22 AM, Society In the Nizhny Novgorod region, as part of comprehensive territory development projects (CTD), it is planned to build 30 kindergartens, 12 schools, and five clinics. This was announced by the region's governor, Gleb Nikitin, on May 28 during the annual report to the deputies of the Legislative Assembly. According to the head of the region, one of the key tasks of the regional government remains the creation of conditions for attracting and retaining personnel by improving the quality of life and the availability of comfortable housing.
"In the Nizhny Novgorod region, 1.8 million square meters of housing were commissioned last year. Gradually, the main volume of construction is transitioning to comprehensive territory development projects, which allow for the creation of a balanced comfortable space with housing and infrastructure that meets the needs of the population," noted Gleb Nikitin.
As of today, 27 contracts for CTD have been signed in the region. They provide for the construction of 3 million square meters of housing with modern infrastructure. In total, about 100 CTD sites are at various stages of development and implementation in the Nizhny Novgorod region. Their urban development potential exceeds 18 million square meters.
