The capital of light and sound: T2 will once again support the NUR media art festival in Kazan.

On May 26, 2026, at 16:42, T2, a Russian mobile operator, became the title partner of the NUR media arts festival, which will take place in Kazan from May 28 to 31. In collaboration with digital artists, the company will present the largest installation in the festival's history. The object will be part of an interdisciplinary performance during the opening. T2 will also support the mapping contest at the Spasskaya Tower of the Kazan Kremlin.

This year, the NUR festival, with the support of T2, will bring together creative studios and artists from different countries. In total, guests will be able to visit 14 locations located in key points of Kazan. The largest installation in the festival's history will be a work titled PAX by T2 and the SETAP studio. The construction will be based on 1,200 LED sticks and 12 controlled winches. It will be involved in the opening concert at the Kazan Circus on May 28, and afterwards, it can be visited as one of the NUR locations.

A traditional mapping contest will take place on the facade of the Spasskaya Tower of the Kazan Kremlin. Participants, together with T2, will transform the urban space into a dynamic environment. Viewers will be able to vote for their favorite works by media artists. For those interested in the history of the digital objects created for the festival, the operator, in collaboration with NUR artists, has prepared an audio guide: https://t2-nur.entermedia.io/#audio.

Yegor Bormusov, Marketing Director of T2:

"We are keenly observing the development of media art and are always ready to support creative teams. In this regard, the NUR festival seemed particularly promising to us, and we were not mistaken when we first placed our bet on it last year. This event allows artists not only to find their audience but also to integrate their works into the unique landscape of a city with a rich history and cultural heritage that cannot be overestimated."

Alexey Sidorov, Director of the Volga Macroregion at T2:

"As a mobile operator, we understand the opportunities that technology opens up for the creative cluster. They allow the audience not just to look at art from the outside but also to immerse themselves in it and sometimes even influence media art. That is why we have long been working in the cultural sphere and are making efforts to elevate local art festivals to a new level. NUR is a worthy example of how creative thinking and technological expertise come together to make Kazan one of the capitals of media art."
