At the solemn assembly, the chairman of the Legislative Assembly of the Nizhny Novgorod region, Evgeny Lyulin, addressed the students, their parents, and teachers. The speaker congratulated everyone on the end of the school year and noted that the last bell is a celebration that transforms yesterday's students into graduates and remains forever in the memory of every person, regardless of age. Evgeny Lyulin emphasized that the main goal of a teacher is to shape a human personality, instill ideals of patriotism, continuous internal growth, and responsibility. According to him, the teachers of school No. 17 are successfully fulfilling this task: their students win at all-Russian Olympiads, participate in projects such as "Immortal Regiment," "Georgievskaya Ribbon," "Windows of Victory," and in the First Movement, while graduates successfully enroll in leading universities in Dzerzhinsk, Nizhny Novgorod, Moscow, and St. Petersburg. Evgeny Lyulin also recalled a recent meeting with the tenth graders of the school in the walls of the Legislative Assembly. At that time, the students demonstrated a solid knowledge base, confidently answering quiz questions that stump many adults. "Communication with such youth leaves a confidence in the soul that someday we will hand over the city, the region, and the country into their reliable hands," declared the chairman of the regional parliament. Addressing the graduates, Evgeny Lyulin urged them not to be afraid of their own choices and not to allow their parents to live for them. In his opinion, it is important for adults to give children the opportunity to decide for themselves where to study and work, and most importantly, to teach honesty, decency, and responsibility for their actions. "Always learn, discover new things, find your calling! When work brings pleasure, and the profession is a joy, that is happiness," he advised the students. The speaker wished the graduates of school No. 17 success in life, to become worthy members of society, and to apply their talents for the benefit of the development of their native Dzerzhinsk and the entire Nizhny Novgorod region. "Today I looked at the graduates of school No. 17 in Dzerzhinsk and was immensely proud of each student. When the hall erupts in applause, and teachers and graduates say words that bring a lump to the throat of seasoned politicians, I am convinced: school is our second home. And to the teachers of this school, a low bow. You do not just teach; you give wings.
