Two teenagers will be sentenced for attacking a peer in the center of Nizhny Novgorod.

They are accused of hooliganism, the regional Investigative Committee's press service reported. According to the investigation, everything happened in February 2026 near house No. 4 on Malo-Yamsky Lane. The young men were outside in the evening and, according to law enforcement, behaved aggressively and demonstratively violated public order. One of the teenagers, without any visible reason, took out a knife and began to threaten the minor. He then broke a glass bottle and started waving the shard, using it as a weapon. He filmed his actions on a mobile phone. After that, the second participant in the conflict hit the victim several times on the face with his palm and with a belt on the face and body. As a result, the teenager experienced severe physical pain. The police identified the suspects and detained them. One of them was taken into custody, while the other was assigned a measure of supervision over the minor. The prosecutor's office approved the indictment. The criminal case has been sent to the Nizhny Novgorod District Court, where it will be considered on the merits.
