"Too bad for the car": Nizhny Novgorod residents ask to repair the road to Shchelkovo Khutor

      On May 21, 2026, at 14:27 Society Nizhny Novgorod residents are dissatisfied with the quality of the dirt road leading to Shchelkovo farmstead. They recorded a video and sent it to the editorial office of NIA "Nizhny Novgorod." Ditches and potholes not only damage cars but also diminish the desire to relax in the nature reserve, which was renovated in 2023.

      This is a favorite spot for many Nizhny Novgorod residents. Everything is very well done for recreation there - beach, sidewalks. We come here very often in winter, summer, spring, and autumn. And all of this is pleasing to the eye. But the only thing that creates inconvenience is the road, the residents noted.

      According to them, in spring and autumn, it is simply impossible to drive here because all the potholes are filled with water. Meanwhile, in warm weather, stones and dust fly off the road from vehicle movement.

      Okay, we damage our cars, but the real trouble is that it is very difficult for people to walk here - dust is raised. And it's very sad for the car, the residents say.

      Nizhny Novgorod residents suggest that if asphalt cannot be laid, at least the roadway should be leveled with a grader.

      The work started well, but it turned out unfinished. If there are people who can do something, please finish it, and then there will be more people willing to visit Shchelkovo farmstead, everyone will be grateful, the residents appealed.
