The operation of air conditioners was checked in Nizhny Novgorod buses: results announced.

      On May 21, 2026, at 13:24, Society In the morning of May 21, specialists from the passenger transportation control department of the CRTS conducted an inspection of the air conditioning systems in public transport in Nizhny Novgorod. A total of 57 units of rolling stock were inspected - buses, trams, and electric buses. According to the monitoring results, it was established that in 37 vehicles, which is about 65%, the cooling systems are functioning normally. In the remaining 20 buses, the air conditioners are either absent or in need of repair. In such cabins, ventilation is provided naturally through open windows. Notifications were sent to carriers requiring them to ensure the proper functioning of the climate control equipment as soon as possible. In addition, additional briefings were held with drivers about the necessity of maintaining a comfortable temperature in the cabin.
