Goalkeeper Medvedev of Pari Nizhny Novgorod became the leader of the RPL in the number of saves this season.

      The goalkeeper and captain of FC "Pari Nizhny Novgorod," Nikita Medvedev, has been recognized as one of the best in the RPL 2025/2026 season for the number of saves. Over 30 rounds of the championship, he made 34 saves and, along with Lokomotiv's goalkeeper Anton Mitryushkin, topped the ranking in this category. The third place was taken by Sergey Pesyakov from Krylia Sovetov, who has 33 saves. The top five also included Alexander Dyogtev from Sochi and Vitaly Gudiyev from Akron, both with 30 saves. However, Medvedev's personal achievements did not help "Pari NN" retain their place in the elite division. After drawing with Rubin, the Nizhny Novgorod team finished in 15th place and left the RPL. Shortly before the end of the championship, the goalkeeper got involved in a scandal. On May 11, in a match against CSKA, which ended in a 1:2 defeat for Nizhny Novgorod, Nikita sharply reacted to banners from fans supporting the former head coach of the team, Alexey Shpilevsky. He swore at the fans and stated that it was the ex-coach who led the team to the current situation. The RFU Disciplinary Committee reviewed the incident and decided to fine the goalkeeper 300,000 rubles. Before the verdict was announced, Medvedev publicly apologized to the fans.
