      May 18, 2026 18:25 Economy Experts from VTB My Investments forecast an average exchange rate of the ruble at 81 rubles per dollar. This forecast was announced by the head of the brokerage service department at VTB, Andrey Yatskov, speaking at the bank's Investor Day.

      "In the baseline scenario for 2026, we are assuming an inflation rate of 5.3%, economic growth of up to 0.5%, an average dollar to ruble exchange rate of 81 rubles per dollar for the year, and a key rate of 12%. Probably, this is the most important parameter for a large number of investors," Yatskov said.

      During his speech, the head of the brokerage also highlighted assets that are currently promising for private investors. First of all, these are government bonds, which are entering a growth cycle. Secondly, these are stocks that are currently declining, thus creating an attractive moment for purchase.
