Sber will enhance the digital competencies of the Nizhny Novgorod region in the field of information technology and AI.

      On May 18, 2026, at 17:36, the economy of the Nizhny Novgorod region will have more opportunities for digital development. The region, together with Sberbank, will participate in training specialists in artificial intelligence and plans to open a modern technology hub in the local high-tech quarter, which will be integrated with the Nizhny Novgorod IT campus "NEIMARK." All of this is the result of an agreement signed by Kirill Menshov, Senior Vice President and Head of the Technology Block at Sberbank, and Gleb Nikitin, Governor of the Nizhny Novgorod region, at the conference "Digital Industry of Industrial Russia" (12+).

      Sberbank and the Government of the Nizhny Novgorod region have agreed to develop cooperation within the framework of the national project "Data Economy and Digital Transformation of the State" and the strategy for spatial development of Russia until 2030.

      Special attention will be paid to the integration of artificial intelligence and training people to work with it. To address this task, Sberbank's corporate university, together with the region, plans to develop applied AI competencies in the Nizhny Novgorod region. Managers, business owners, students, and university teachers will be able to learn to create and manage AI systems.
