In the Nizhny Novgorod region, a local resident has been detained for threatening violence against the head of a police department and attempting to murder a businessman while pretending to have the protection of FSB officers. This was reported by the press service of the FSB of Russia for the Nizhny Novgorod region. According to the FSB, the perpetrator attempted to kill the businessman. The man demanded 1 million rubles from the entrepreneur for a fictitious debt. At the same time, the accused threatened the victim with problems, citing alleged support from high-ranking FSB officials. The perpetrator also threatened the head of one of the departments of the Economic Security and Anti-Corruption Unit of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in Nizhny Novgorod with violence. A criminal case has been initiated against the suspect. The court has chosen a preventive measure in the form of detention. The investigation is ongoing.
