The month of improvement in Nizhny Novgorod has been completed with exceeding the plan.

      May 15, 2026 14:43 Society More than 142,000 people participated in the month-long beautification campaign in Nizhny Novgorod, which took place from April 5 to May 15. This was reported by Mayor Yuri Shalabaev on his Max channel. Employees of contracting organizations, management companies, and concerned residents joined the general cleanup after winter. Over 1,400 units of equipment were involved.

      According to the city head, thanks to joint efforts, a larger volume of work was completed than initially planned. During the work, 445 children's and sports playgrounds were repaired against a plan of 436. 2,387 square meters of sidewalks were restored instead of 2,200.

      Pothole repairs were carried out on 45,000 square meters of roadway—7,600 square meters more than planned. More than 92,000 cubic meters of garbage were removed against a forecast of 79,000. Over 73,000 square meters of lawns were also cleaned.

      The city head added that beautification work will continue: city services will further maintain order on the streets and in the yards around the clock.
