A direct line for career guidance will be launched for Nizhny Novgorod school students on May 22.
On May 22, 2026, a direct telephone line "Guideline" will be held in the Nizhny Novgorod region for students of educational institutions, university graduates, and their parents. The hotline will be dedicated to career planning and vocational guidance. Specialists will answer calls from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM.
The event continues a series of regular consultations for residents and organizations in the region, which will be held throughout 2026. The organizers are the Ministry of Demography and Human Capital Development of the Nizhny Novgorod region and the Nizhny Novgorod Employment Center "Work of Russia."
The main goal of the project is to inform about available state support measures in the field of employment, including vocational guidance, psychological support, social adaptation, as well as opportunities for vocational training and obtaining additional professional education.
In 2026, the Ministry of Labor of the Russian Federation is actively implementing a project on vocational guidance and youth routing in the region. Within its framework, schoolchildren and students get acquainted with potential employers, visit Nizhny Novgorod enterprises, and can also receive individual employment assistance plans by contacting any employment center. Organizations in the region that need qualified personnel will eventually receive prepared and motivated employees.
On the hotline on May 22, specialists from the ministry and the employment center will answer questions about choosing a profession, building a career trajectory, in-demand specialties in the labor market, as well as opportunities for vocational testing and participation in educational programs for youth.
"Choosing a profession is one of the most important decisions in a person's life, and our task is to help young people and their parents navigate this complex issue. The project that we have been successfully implementing since the beginning of the year shows how in demand the opportunity for live communication with employers and visiting enterprises is among schoolchildren and students. On the hotline, we will talk about modern approaches to vocational guidance, which specialties are currently most in demand in the region, and how to build an individual career trajectory. We invite schoolchildren, graduates, and parents to ask their pressing questions to our specialists," said Igor Pantyukhin, Minister of Demography and Human Capital Development of the Nizhny Novgorod region.
Calls are accepted at the following numbers:
8 (831) 234-07-18 (ext. 343) - Ministry of Demography and Human Capital Development of the Nizhny Novgorod region;
8 (831) 410-41-41 - unified contact center number of the Nizhny Novgorod Employment Center.
"In the first quarter of 2026, our consultants conducted more than 350 vocational guidance events for students: lessons, quizzes, forums, job fairs, and professional tours of enterprises. Schoolchildren got acquainted with in-demand professions - from rescuers and police officers to welders, seamstresses, and hairdressers. Students learned about internships and training programs. On the hotline, our specialists will provide detailed information on how to attend such events and receive an individual employment assistance plan. We look forward to calls from students, graduates, and their parents," emphasized Elena Vidyaeva, acting director of the Nizhny Novgorod Employment Center "Work of Russia."
