Nizhny Novgorod volunteers helped residents of the DPR vote for improvement projects.

On May 14, 2026, at 17:08 Society During another humanitarian mission to the supervised territories in the DPR, volunteers from the Nizhny Novgorod House of National Unity helped local residents vote for improvement projects. As part of the federal program "Formation of a Comfortable Urban Environment" of the national project "Infrastructure for Life," residents of the Donetsk People's Republic are choosing public areas to be renovated in 2027. "Our region is helping to improve life in the supervised territories in various areas, including landscaping. It is important that residents of the new regions can participate in state programs and national projects, improving life in their land. Volunteers from the House of National Unity conducted explanatory work, talked about the principles of voting, what projects are proposed for improvement, and assisted in voting. We are glad that we can contribute to this common great cause - creating a comfortable environment in our Russian cities," noted the head of the House of National Unity, Sergey Fedorov. This year, 19 projects are participating in the voting in Khartsyzsk - these include children's and sports playgrounds, and courtyard areas. "Our residents are interested in making their city more beautiful and better, and they actively participate in the project 'Formation of a Comfortable Urban Environment.' We are grateful to the volunteers from the House of National Unity, with their help we manage to reach as many residents as possible and give them the opportunity to participate in this important voting for the urban district. Nizhny Novgorod volunteers always join our projects, and this proves that we are one united country," emphasized Anna Shpak, head of the youth policy department of the Khartsyzsk urban district administration. Volunteers from the House of National Unity also helped residents vote during the May holidays at mass events. At the Central Library of Khartsyzsk, they participated in a thematic meeting with representatives of the Veterans' Territorial Public Self-Government, house leaders, and active youth. Nizhny Novgorod residents shared their experiences of participating in the all-Russian voting, discussing its significance in the development of our regions. "There are many good ideas and initiatives here, and we help to implement them. Regardless of which region we live in, the main thing is that together we make our cities cozier and more beautiful," believes senior volunteer Anna Korotkikh. The volunteers also assisted many residents in voting at home. It should be noted that within the framework of the federal program "Formation of a Comfortable Urban Environment" of the national project "Infrastructure for Life," with the support of the Nizhny Novgorod region, large-scale improvements are underway in the Chekhov Culture and Recreation Park in Khartsyzsk. In 2024, the public space improvement project won the IX All-Russian competition for the best projects for creating a comfortable urban environment. The Nizhny Novgorod region provided assistance in the preparation and implementation of the project. We also remind you that the all-Russian voting for improvement projects continues until June 12, 2026. Voting can be done on the unified federal platform: zagorodsreda.gosuslugi.ru. The national project "Infrastructure for Life" was initiated by the President of Russia, Vladimir Putin. Its main goal is to provide citizens with socially significant infrastructure of a new quality. The project consists of 11 federal projects that include goals previously outlined in the national projects "Housing and Urban Environment," "Safe Quality Roads," and state programs of the Russian Federation. They are aimed at developing road construction, housing and communal services, ensuring road safety, and developing public passenger transport.
