      On May 14, 2026, at 16:27, Incidents: In Nizhny Novgorod, a 14-year-old schoolgirl took out a loan in her mother's name and transferred more than 600,000 rubles to a fraudster. This was reported by the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the Nizhny Novgorod region. The girl received a call from an unknown person who introduced himself as a prosecutor's office employee. He claimed that someone was trying to take out a loan in her parents' name. The criminal convinced the schoolgirl to take her mother's phone and, through a mobile banking app, to take out a loan of 613,540 rubles, after which he persuaded the child to transfer the money to a "safe account." A criminal case has been initiated regarding the incident. The police are establishing all the circumstances of what happened. It was previously reported that a 72-year-old resident of Nizhny Novgorod sold her apartment and handed over the money to fraudsters after a call from a fake law enforcement officer.
