The CEO of a Nizhny Novgorod construction company has been accused of fraud amounting to 1.5 million rubles.

      On May 13, 2026, at 07:36, incidents: The general director of a construction company in Gorodets has been accused of fraud on a particularly large scale. This was reported by the press service of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the Nizhny Novgorod region. In January 2022, a local resident saw an advertisement online for the manufacture of a log cabin for a house. The general director told the potential client about the company's extensive experience but omitted the financial difficulties of the organization and debts to customers. The 39-year-old victim signed a contract for the manufacture of the log cabin for 1,480,000 rubles. The accused provided the customer with false information about the work process, convincing him to transfer money. In total, the buyer lost 1,477,800 rubles. In May of last year, the victim realized that the general director had no intention of fulfilling the obligations and contacted the police. The damage was compensated during the preliminary investigation, and the criminal case with an approved indictment has been sent to court for consideration on the merits.
