Tram service No. 18 has resumed in Nizhny Novgorod.

      May 11, 2026 09:00 Society In Nizhny Novgorod, tram traffic has resumed on route No. 18, which follows the scheme "Lapsikha Microdistrict - Lyadova Square - Lapsikha Microdistrict." This was reported by LLC "Ecological Projects." Before the launch, specialists conducted a test run of the line with a special boom car. With its help, they assessed the condition of the track, adjusted the contact network, and identified possible shortcomings, which were promptly addressed. The company also warned that there may be brief stops in traffic on the route. These are related to additional adjustments to the contact-cable network. Recall that traffic on the route was suspended from May 1 to May 10 due to the reconstruction of the tram tracks at the turning loop in Lapsikha. Work on the site began on February 1. The turning loop was built in 1957, and the last major repair was conducted here in 1978. The main construction and installation work is planned to be completed in the second quarter of this year, and the full reconstruction is expected to be finished no later than June. It was previously reported that due to the installation of monolithic sections of the tram tracks, traffic would be restricted at the intersection of Vaneeva and Nadezhda Suslova streets.
