      Nizhny Novgorod Region has joined the educational campaign "Victory Day," organized by the Russian Society "Knowledge." From April 19 to May 17, lectures, film screenings, and thematic meetings dedicated to preserving historical memory are taking place across the country. The events align with the goals and objectives of the national project "Youth and Children." In the region, schools, colleges, and universities have become venues for meetings. A joint project of the Russian Society "Knowledge," the Ministry of Education of the Nizhny Novgorod Region, and the regional branch of the State Fund "Defenders of the Fatherland" is also being implemented — "Without Statute of Limitations." The project aims to preserve the historical truth about the Great Patriotic War and to foster patriotic education among youth. According to Alexander Mitrofanov, the director of the "Knowledge" Society branch in Nizhny Novgorod Region, an important task is to instill moral guidelines and respect for the heroism of the generation of victors among schoolchildren and students. Among the lecturers are veterans of the special military operation. Sergey Kharinov, Deputy Chairman of the Public Chamber Commission of Nizhny Novgorod on youth policy and patriotic education, spoke about the continuity of generations, the reasons for the special military operation, and his personal experience in combat actions. He also noted that he underwent additional training to work with schoolchildren. Roman Zykov, a participant in the special military operation, advisor to the rectorate of Nizhny Novgorod State University named after N.I. Lobachevsky, and head of the regional branch of the All-Russian public organization "Young Guard" in Nizhny Novgorod Region, will conduct a lecture titled "Military Valor as a Moral Guideline: Military-Patriotic Education in Modern Conditions." Lecturers discuss key events of the Great Patriotic War, the heroism of the front and rear, the tragedy of concentration camps, and the significance of the Nuremberg Trials. Meetings have also been held for employees of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia for the Nizhny Novgorod Region. Peter Chuprikov, Director of the Center for International Education and Cooperation of Nizhny Novgorod State Pedagogical University named after K. Minin, delivered a lecture on the crimes of the Nazis against Soviet citizens. Anyone wishing to join the campaign as lecturers can do so using the methodological materials posted on the "Knowledge" Society website. Among them are documentary films, a series of film lectures, and other materials. Additionally, a special broadcast for schoolchildren titled "Inventions of Victory" was held as part of the project "Russia — My Horizons." Participants learned about the scientific achievements of Soviet scientists who worked for the needs of the front and rear.

      The "Knowledge" Society is the largest educational organization in the country, annually conducting events for youth across Russia. After a reboot, the community of lecturers has united more than 32,000 people, who have conducted over 200,000 lectures in 89 regions of the country. 8,100 hours of educational content have been created, and online broadcasts and video materials have garnered over 2.5 billion views.
