The weather conditions in April in our region were determined by a cyclonic weather pattern.

      The average monthly air temperature was 6.2 °C, which is below the average long-term values (in April, the average long-term value is 6.8 °C). And precipitation was much higher – 105 mm compared to 36.9 mm. According to the head of the integrated laboratory for monitoring environmental pollution in Dzerzhinsk, CMS FGBU "Upper Volga UGM" Svetlana Matveeva, air pollution monitoring was conducted at four stationary posts: three of them are located in the residential area and one in the eastern industrial zone. To avoid high levels of air pollution during unfavorable meteorological conditions, warnings about the need to reduce emissions of harmful substances were sent to city enterprises for 3 days. In the residential area, specialists from the integrated laboratory for monitoring environmental pollution collected and analyzed 2,424 air samples. The stationary posts located in Dzerzhinsk noted cases of short-term air pollution: • by suspended substances (the maximum single concentration exceeded the MPC by 1.1 times in the Northern Gate area). Air pollution by suspended substances was detected in 2% of the samples collected; • by ammonia (the maximum single concentration exceeded the MPC by 2.3 times in the Northern Gate area). Air pollution by ammonia was detected in less than 1% of the samples collected. The maximum single concentration of ethylbenzene reached the MPC value in all areas of the city. The maximum single concentrations of other controlled impurities did not exceed the established maximum allowable standards. In the residential area during the reporting period, the monthly averaged concentrations of controlled impurities did not reach the established permissible standards. In the eastern industrial area, 780 air samples were collected and analyzed. During the reporting period, the maximum single concentrations of controlled impurities did not reach the established permissible standards. The average daily concentration of suspended substances exceeded the MPC by 1.5 times. The monthly averaged concentrations of other controlled impurities did not reach the established maximum allowable standards for the residential area.

      The radiation background in April 2026 in the urban district was within 0.09-0.14 µSv/hour, which corresponds to natural background values.
