The photo contest for the 60th anniversary of the "Golden Ring" has started.

      Residents of the Nizhny Novgorod region can participate in a photo contest dedicated to the 60th anniversary of the tourist route "Golden Ring." The contest is held with the support of the national project "Tourism and Hospitality." Works are accepted in the following categories: "Architectural Dominance," "Natural Golden Ring," "Urban Stories," "Gastronomic Wonders," "People of the Golden Ring." In each category, four winners will be determined — for the best winter, spring, summer, and autumn photo. The authors of the best works will receive prizes. Following the contest, an interactive map will be created featuring photographs of the most impressive places of the updated "Golden Ring," which will serve as a guide for trip planning. Applications are accepted on the contest website until August 31, 2026. Winners will be announced at the end of September 2026. Detailed conditions and the application form are posted on the website: золотое-кольцо60.рф. In anticipation of the anniversary, the "Golden Ring" route has been expanded to include 49 new settlements in seven regions of Russia.

      In 2026, the route included 10 cities and villages in the Nizhny Novgorod region: Arzamas, Bogorodsk, Vyksa, Bolshoye Boldino, Gorodets, Diveyevo, Purekh, Nizhny Novgorod, Pavlovo, and Chkalovsk.
