      The deputies of the Dzerzhinsk parliament approved budget adjustments and a number of significant initiatives at their recent meeting. Decisions were made affecting various areas of city life – from the development of sports infrastructure to the transfer of municipal property and updates to the Charter. The key issue on the agenda of the April meeting of the Dzerzhinsk City Duma was the budget adjustments: the income and expenses of the city treasury were reduced by 21 million rubles. After the changes, the income amounted to 10,916,002,111.59 rubles, and the expenses – to 11,345,111,366,254.23 rubles. At the same time, the budget deficit remained the same – 450,251,942.64 rubles. Part of the funds will be directed to support young athletes – 1.7 million rubles in regional subsidies will go towards financing their trips. The local budget will co-finance this initiative by 425 thousand rubles, which is 20% of the total amount. Significant funds have also been allocated for the development of urban infrastructure: 12.2 million rubles in interbudgetary transfers will be directed to repair the road on Shchorsa Street. More than 13 million rubles will be allocated for the renovation of a three-story building and four dachas, as well as for the installation of a video surveillance system at the sports school "City of Sports." The money will be used to prepare for the health campaign of the upcoming summer. "We fully understand how important it is to create comfortable conditions for our young athletes and to develop sports infrastructure. The allocated funds will improve the material and technical base of the sports school 'City of Sports' and ensure the successful conduct of the health campaign. This is an investment in the health and future of our children," emphasized the chairwoman of the City Duma, Victoria Nikolaeva. In addition, the deputies allocated more than 652 thousand rubles for the development of a project for the demolition of an emergency apartment building on Oktyabrskaya Street, 51. Another area of the Duma's work is the transfer of municipal property for gratuitous use. The deputies adopted a number of decisions on this issue. Several properties were transferred for gratuitous use. For example, for the Dzerzhinsk Registry Office, located on Dzerzhinsky Avenue, and the offices of the MFC located on Pushkinskaya, Gastello, and Tereshkova Streets, the use of the premises was extended, and the Veterans Council of the SVO was provided with premises on Vatutin Street, 25 for organizing volunteer activities. The final important decision was the appointment of public hearings on amendments to the Charter of the urban district of the city of Dzerzhinsk. They will take place on June 4, 2026. The document will be brought into line with federal and regional legislation. In particular, it is planned to exclude the issue of municipal housing control from Articles 12 and 57 of the Charter.
