      Hundreds of residents of Dzerzhinsk participated in the traditional All-Russian action "Candle of Memory." From 500 candles, the words "We remember" were formed. The event was attended by the chairman of the Legislative Assembly of the Nizhny Novgorod region, Evgeny Lyulin, the head of Dzerzhinsk, Mikhail Klinkov, city deputies, public figures, and citizens. – Hundreds of thousands of Gorky residents and Dzerzhinsk residents worked in the rear. In 1941, the enemy expected our people to break, but in response, they received the storming of Berlin in 1945. The fascists called themselves the master race, but we defeated them both on the battlefield and in production — we won the "battle of engines." My father left the village with three dozen peers, and only four returned alive. Together with the residents of Dzerzhinsk, we light candles to honor the memory of all fallen warriors, to remember our hero. Our sacred duty is to preserve the memory of those who defended our right to a free future with their lives and health, said Evgeny Lyulin.

      Each candlelight is a memory of someone's life, of a feat that must never be forgotten.
