The contractor for the oncology center in Nizhny Novgorod was found on the third attempt.
May 8, 2026 16:41 Society A contractor has been found for the construction of an oncology center in Nizhny Novgorod. Information about this appeared on the state procurement website. The bidding was held for the third time, and only one application was received. A contract is planned to be signed with this company, the name of which has not yet been disclosed, at the initial price of 16.79 billion rubles. It should be noted that according to the competition conditions, the contractor will have to carry out engineering surveys, develop project and working documentation, construct buildings, supply and install equipment, conduct its commissioning, and also train personnel. The main part of the funds—about 11.7 billion rubles—will be allocated for construction and installation works. Another 4.88 billion rubles is earmarked for the purchase and commissioning of equipment. 205 million rubles is allocated for design and survey work and passing examinations. Financing will be provided by the federal and regional budgets. Construction is planned to begin in 2028 and be completed in 2031. According to the technical specifications, a therapeutic and diagnostic building with a total area of almost 69,700 square meters will be built on the site. The building will house a round-the-clock surgical hospital with 380 beds, a day hospital with 10 beds, 24 operating rooms, and an intensive care unit with 21 beds. Diagnostic and laboratory departments, a pharmacy, a food block, a laundry, a disinfection department, and a site for the sterilization of medical waste are also planned. The project also includes an adult outpatient clinic designed for 300 visits per shift, a transformer conference hall for 400 seats, and an overpass 30 meters long. The maximum height of the building will be up to 11 floors. The center will be part of the "Health City" project and will be implemented taking into account the unified architectural and functional solutions of the cluster. Additionally, it was previously reported that the regional Ministry of Health signed contracts for the supply of two PET/CT systems and one SPECT/CT system. There were also reports about the development of a project for the Center for Radionuclide Diagnosis and Therapy—a PET-CT center. It, like the future oncology center, will be part of the large-scale "Health City" project, which will combine the resources of the N.A. Semashko Regional Clinical Hospital and the Oncology Dispensary. NIA "Nizhny Novgorod" has channels on Telegram and MAX.
