As part of the federal project "OUR OWN," more than 200 veterans of the Great Patriotic War and concentration camp prisoners will be congratulated on Victory Day in the Nizhny Novgorod region. "The event is organized by the 'House of National Unity,'" noted Yevgeny Chintsov on his MAX channel.

      The speaker of the city Duma met with Grigory Alekseevich Grebenyuk. His front-line story is connected with the Guards Marine Brigade of Leningrad, an anti-aircraft artillery battery in Abkhazia, a military school in Vladivostok, the Baltic Fleet, and a naval railway artillery battery that was part of the front under the command of Marshal of the Soviet Union Ivan Bagramyan. The veteran has orders of the Red Star and the Patriotic War of the I degree, medals for "Combat Merits," "For the Defense of the Caucasus," and other awards. After World War II, the resident of Gorky started a family and dedicated three decades to working at the Frunze factory.
