      On May 8, 2026, at 15:05, Economy. Deputies of the Nizhny Novgorod City Duma approved changes to the budget at an extraordinary meeting on May 7. The adjustments were presented by the director of the finance department, Yuri Mochalkin, the press service of the city duma reported.

      Due to inter-budget transfers, the revenues and expenditures of the city treasury have increased by 25 million rubles. These funds are planned to be allocated for the leasing of road equipment.

      In addition, as a result of the redistribution of funds, 519.8 million rubles are allocated to ensure the city's share of co-financing when concluding a concession agreement for the reconstruction of the Nizhny Novgorod aeration station.

      It was previously reported that over the next three years, more than 11 billion rubles are planned for the modernization of the Nizhny Novgorod aeration station.

      Recall that in December 2025, the first phase of the modernization of the NSA was completed. It was carried out by the Federal Autonomous Institution "RosKapStroy," with a contract for full reconstruction signed with them in 2022. In April 2026, the customer, AO "OKO," announced its intention to terminate the document with the contractor. Additionally, the company is suing to recover about 3.4 billion rubles from the Federal Autonomous Institution "RosKapStroy." At the same time, the court accepted the contractor's own application, which challenges the actions and regulatory act of the customer.
