The delegation of the Nizhny Novgorod region visited the Republic of Srpska.

      The delegation of the Nizhny Novgorod region, led by Deputy Chairman of the Regional Government Dmitry Starostin, visited the Republic of Srpska (Bosnia and Herzegovina) on a working visit. The purpose of the trip was to develop trade, economic, technological, and humanitarian cooperation. According to Dmitry Starostin, the interaction between the parties is structured within the framework of a joint working group established last year. In March, an agreement on cooperation in the field of education was signed, and projects for the localization of production are also being developed. Nizhny Novgorod companies can expand their presence in the market of the Republic of Srpska with the support of the region. During the visit, a meeting was held with the Prime Minister of the Republic of Srpska, Savo Minić, as well as negotiations with the Minister of Health, Alen Šarinić, the Minister of Energy and Mining, Petar Đokić, the Minister of Economy and Entrepreneurship, Radенко Bubič, representatives of the Ministry of Science and Technology, and the Director of the Agency for Information and Communication Technologies, Dražen Višnjić. The parties discussed the development of trade relations, innovative activities, and cooperation in the agro-industrial complex. Special attention was given to cooperation in pharmaceuticals, including the supply of medical products, localization of medical device production, internships for doctors, and cooperation with PIMU. The prospects for the development of the IT sector were also considered, including cooperation with the IT campus "NEIMARK" and the creation of a joint laboratory involving Serbian companies for conducting research and training students. In the humanitarian part of the program, a meeting was held with the leadership of the Imperial Orthodox Palestine Society branch in the Republic of Srpska. Joint projects and the development of the tourism industry, including pilgrimage tourism, were discussed. The delegation also visited the under-construction Russian-Serbian Church of the Transfiguration of the Lord in memory of Nicholas II and his family. Entrepreneurs can receive consultations on working in external markets, including the Republic of Srpska, at the Export Support Center of the Nizhny Novgorod region. The center operates within the framework of the national project "International Cooperation and Export," which is implemented by the regional Ministry of Industry, Trade, and Entrepreneurship and includes federal projects "Industrial Export," "Export of Agricultural Products," and "Systemic Measures for the Development of International Cooperation and Export."
