      In 2026, it is planned to bring approximately 90 kilometers of roads leading to the memorials of the Great Patriotic War in the Nizhny Novgorod region into compliance with standards. The work will be carried out as part of the national project "Infrastructure for Life." In the Bogorodsky district, more than 21 km of the Bogorodsk - Klyuchishi road will be repaired. The route leads to sections of the Gorky defensive line of 1941. A memorial sign dedicated to the builders of the line has been installed near the village of Khvoshchyovka. Repairs are also planned in the Bolshie Boldino (approaches to the village of Kondrykino), Vadsky (sections of the roads Vad - Novy Mir, Vad - Dubenskoye), Gorodetsky (the road Pervomaysky - Yasnaya Polyana - Zavolzhye), Lyskovsky (approach to the village of Bogomolovo), Pilninsky (the road Pilna - Kurmysh), Sechenovsky (the road Yasnoye - Krasny Ostrov - Levashovka), Sosnovsky (the roads Sosnovskoye - Glyadkovo, Sosnovskoye - Panino), Uren districts (the road B. Arya - B. Krasnogor - Sodomovo - B. Kozlyana - Karpunykha) and in the city of Chkalovsk (the road Andreyevo - Bobrovo). As noted by the acting director of the State Budgetary Institution of the Nizhny Novgorod Region "GUAD," Alexander Denisov, the renewal of roads to memorials is related to the preservation of historical memory and ensuring convenient access to memorial sites. The work will be carried out in a planned manner within the framework of state contracts. The completion of repairs on most facilities is scheduled for the third quarter of 2026. The national project "Infrastructure for Life" was initiated by the President of Russia, Vladimir Putin. It includes 12 federal projects, five of which are implemented by the Ministry of Transport of Russia: "Development of the Federal Network," "Regional and Local Road Network," "General System Measures for the Development of Road Management," "Development of Public Transport," and "Development of Infrastructure for the Central Transport Hub."
