      On May 6, 2026, at 11:17, Society At the National Research University of the Presidential Academy, an International Scientific and Practical Conference titled "Law and Society: Law in the Context of Global Transformations" took place. Representatives from universities in Vietnam, Uzbekistan, and the Republic of Belarus, the Council of Young Scientists of the National Research University, the Council of Young Lawyers of the Nizhny Novgorod Region, the Nizhny Novgorod Regional Organization of the Association of Lawyers of Russia, and the Nizhny Novgorod Regional Organization of the All-Russian Ecological Movement "Ecosystem" participated in the conference.

      "The goal of the conference is to launch an international interdisciplinary platform for discussing fundamental challenges in the era of global change. The Nizhny Novgorod Institute of Management brings together scholars from around the world to seek solutions capable of regulating legal relations in many areas of social life: from issues of collective security to ethical problems," noted the director of the National Research University of the Presidential Academy, Ekaterina Lebedeva.

      During the plenary session, current issues at the intersection of private and public law were discussed. Within the framework of the conference, three platforms for researchers from the Council of Young Scientists were organized. For the first time, a separate school section on "Eco-Law" was established.

      The head of the Department of Civil and International Law at the National Research University, Doctor of Law Evgenia Kalinina, presented a report titled "Archetypes of Socio-Legal Architecture in a Value-Divided Space." The main idea: in conditions of value division in both domestic and international spaces, traditional legal constructs may lose effectiveness; therefore, to maintain the stability of the legal order, it is necessary to identify and consider basic archetypes that ensure minimal consensus—such as the archetype of justice and security.

      The analysis of collective security challenges continued in the report by the head of the Department of Legal Support for National Security at the National Research University, Candidate of Law Marina Balalaeva. The emphasis was placed on modern methods and means (digital, analytical, technical) capable of increasing the effectiveness of law enforcement agencies at all stages.

      Conference participants discussed pressing issues of socio-legal architecture and ethical questions. Associate Professor Mai Van Thang from the Vietnam National University (Hanoi), in collaboration with postgraduate student Ekaterina Yesaeva from the Department of Civil and International Law at the National Research University, presented a report titled "Bioethics Issues in Vietnam," analyzing bioethical regulation in Vietnam: the legal status of the embryo, genetic research, and donation.
