According to the press service of the Federal State Institution "Volga-Vyatka Road Administration," at the beginning of May, the road construction season will begin on the federal highways M-7 "Volga," R-158 Nizhny Novgorod — Saratov, and R-177 "Povetluzhye" in the Nizhny Novgorod region. It is noted that traffic restrictions will be introduced at the work sites, with a reduction in the maximum speed limit and narrowing of the roadway. On two-lane sections, if necessary, traffic will be organized in a reversible mode. This year, the replacement of the upper layer of the road surface is planned on M-7 "Volga" km 415+200 — km 429+540 on the bypass of Nizhny Novgorod, km 498+000 — km 507+000 in the Lyskovsky municipal district, on R-158 Nizhny Novgorod — Saratov km 125+000 — km 138+000 in the Shatkovsky municipal district, km 38+000 — km 40+000. Additionally, major repairs with the expansion of the roadway to four lanes are planned on R-158 Nizhny Novgorod — Saratov km 40+000 — 46+000 in the Dalnekonstantinovsky municipal district, replacement of the lower and upper layers of the road surface, updating and equipping infrastructure — on R-177 "Povetluzhye" km 94+000 — km 113+600 in the Semyonovsky municipal district. By the way, major repairs of two small bridges are also taking place on the last route at km 115+200 over the river Lyundu in the village of Bokovoy and at km 123+740 over the river Zimara near the village of Bolshie Klyuchi.
