      On May 5, 2026, at 19:31 Culture and Leisure, Nizhny Novgorod ranked fourth in the rating of cities with the most expensive daily rental housing for the May holidays. The study was conducted by analysts from the booking service "Sutochno.ru" and the fintech company YuMoney.

      Experts examined options for the most popular destinations in Russia and nearby foreign countries for leisure during the long weekends. On average, travelers were looking for accommodation for three days, with a rental cost of 16,200 rubles. Studios and one-bedroom apartments remain the most sought after by tourists. Currently, the average rental price across the country is 5,350 rubles per day, which is 6% higher than last year.

      The top three cities in terms of expense were Minsk (8,150 rubles per day), Kazan (7,580 rubles), and Brest (7,170 rubles). Following them were Nizhny Novgorod (6,800 rubles) and Zelenogradsk (5,900 rubles). Additionally, the ranking included Moscow, Volgograd, St. Petersburg, Yaroslavl, Kislovodsk, Kaliningrad, and Krasnodar.
