Evgeny Lyulin: "Thanks to people's diplomacy, our schoolchildren will be the first in the country to master the latest technologies in the agro-industrial complex."
On May 5, 2026, at 16:13 Society, career guidance lessons were held at the Sechenov Secondary School, where students were introduced to the latest technologies in agriculture used in the Republic of Belarus. The classes were conducted by active agrarians and teachers from the Belarusian State Agricultural Academy. The event was initiated by the Chairman of the Legislative Assembly of the Nizhny Novgorod Region, Evgeny Lyulin, and became the first experience in the history of the Russian education system for the large-scale application of Belarusian educational practices.
The issues of developing agricultural classes and training young personnel for rural areas were discussed at one of the sections of the IV Congress of Small Towns of the Nizhny Novgorod and Grodno Regions, which took place in August 2025. At that time, Evgeny Lyulin noted that it is necessary to become more familiar with the advanced practices of Belarus in the agricultural sector to increase the attractiveness of rural life and prepare qualified personnel.
The participants of the first career guidance lessons were students from the 4th, 5th, and 7th grades. Two interactive blocks were organized for them. The younger students tried to control agricultural machines using special remote controls: they plowed, planted potatoes, removed weeds, and fed virtual animals.
Seventh graders were shown how autopilot systems work in the agricultural sector. The students learned to set movement lines and control equipment on a training stand.
"In our region, nearly 150 agricultural classes have been opened, where about 2,500 children are studying. I hope that the experience in Sechenov can become a starting point for scaling similar projects within the development of agricultural classes in the Nizhny Novgorod region. This will allow for the establishment of a continuous system for training personnel for rural areas: from agricultural class to university or college education, and then to the agricultural enterprise," emphasized the Chairman of the Legislative Assembly of the Nizhny Novgorod Region, Evgeny Lyulin.
