About 90 km of roads to the WWII memorials will be repaired in the Nizhny Novgorod region.

In particular, in the Bogorodsky district, more than 21 kilometers of the road "Bogorodsk - Klyuchishchi" will be updated. This route leads to the sites of the Gorky defensive line, where anti-tank ditches, trenches, and other fortifications were built in 1941 to protect the city. A memorial sign dedicated to the builders of the line is installed near the village of Khvoshchyovka. In addition, work is planned in the Bolshie Boldino district (access to the village of Kondrykino), Vadsky (sections Vad - Novy Mir and Vad - Dubenskoye), Gorodetsky (road Pervomaysky - Yasnaya Polyana - Zavolzhye), Lyskovsky (access to the village of Bogomolovo), Pilninsky (Pilna - Kurmysh), Sechenovsky (Yasnoye - Krasny Ostrov - Levashovka), Sosnovsky (Sosnovskoye - Glyadkovo and Sosnovskoye - Panino), Uren district (B. Acting Director of the State Budgetary Institution of Nizhny Novgorod "GUAD" Alexander Denisov emphasized that this is not only about road works but also about preserving historical memory. According to him, every kilometer of the updated surface on the routes to the memorials is a sign of respect for the feat of the generation of victors and care for those who come to honor their memory. The work will be carried out under state contracts with contracting organizations. The completion of repairs on most facilities is scheduled for the third quarter of 2026. The national project "Infrastructure for Life" is being implemented at the initiative of the President of Russia, Vladimir Putin. It includes 12 federal areas, five of which are overseen by the Ministry of Transport of Russia, including the development of federal and regional road networks, public transport, and transport infrastructure.
