As reported by NIA "Nizhny Novgorod" at the Nizhny Novgorod Museum-Reserve, specialists are currently working on creating a new exhibition layout. The updated space will include not only a permanent exhibition area but also a space for workshops and interactive programs. Thus, the museum will expand its format of engagement with visitors. The new exhibition aims to showcase the ethnocultural diversity of the region. It is planned to tell about the late stage of development of rural culture in craft and trade centers, as well as about the economic structure and daily life of Volga peasants. The core essence of the project will still remain the artistic crafts of the Nizhny Novgorod region. The museum halls will present everyday household items, traditional costumes, ritual elements, and extensive materials revealing the ethnocultural features of the population of the Nizhny Volga region. Earlier, it was reported that a program (0+) was presented in Nizhny Novgorod for the 130th anniversary of the All-Russian Industrial and Art Exhibition of 1896.
