      May 3, 2026 15:13 Incidents A 75-year-old pensioner died in a traffic accident in the Bogorodsky district while riding a moped. This was reported by the State Traffic Inspectorate of the Nizhny Novgorod region. The accident occurred on May 3 at around 12:30 on the first kilometer of the Ushakovo-Venets road. According to preliminary information, the man did not choose a safe speed while navigating a long turn with a slope, lost control, and as a result, the moped overturned. The elderly driver sustained injuries and died at the scene before the ambulance crew arrived. Currently, the circumstances of the incident are being investigated. An investigative operational group is working at the accident site. It was previously reported that a criminal case was initiated due to a fatal traffic accident in the Kanavinsky district.
