This became known during the government hour at the Legislative Assembly meeting, reports NIA "Nizhny Novgorod" correspondent. The Minister of Demography and Human Capital Development of the region, Igor Pantyukhin, reminded that from April 1, 2025, mandatory testing in the Russian language for foreign children entering schools has been introduced in Russia. According to him, there are 72 testing organizations operating in the region - at least one in each district. An appeals commission has been created, and "hotlines" are in operation for regulatory and legal support, as well as methodological assistance. "We do not leave those who did not pass the school threshold behind. For them, 70 additional Russian language training programs have been launched - on a free basis, funded by the municipal budget, and on a paid basis," the minister emphasized. He added that 46 children have already completed their training or are currently undergoing it.
