As the regional coordinator of the federal party project 'Urban Environment,' I pay special attention to organizing subbotniks at the sites of the federal project 'Formation of a Comfortable Urban Environment.' This initiative receives support from many residents of Nizhny Novgorod," noted Vladimir Bespalov, chairman of the Legislative Assembly Committee on Housing and Utilities and Fuel and Energy Complex of the Nizhny Novgorod region. "We want to see our cities well-maintained and clean. It is also significant that the objects of public space improvement, created with the support of the project, were chosen by the residents themselves in the now annual public voting. I must emphasize that the all-Russian voting on the selection of public spaces to be improved in 2027 has already started in the Nizhny Novgorod region. At the same time, the recruitment of volunteers for conducting the all-Russian voting on the selection of improvement objects has begun. The selection of volunteers will last until June 5, 2026. Voting will take place from April 21 to June 12, 2026," the parliamentarian said. "Volunteer support for the project has been ongoing for the sixth year in a row. The primary tasks of volunteers include informing residents about the design projects of public spaces put to a vote and assisting in choosing a preferred object through the 'Gosuslugi' portal. Among such spaces are parks, embankments, squares, pedestrian and recreational areas, as well as central city squares. In addition, volunteers answer citizens' questions: from project implementation timelines to how one can initiate and propose their object. Volunteers will familiarize residents with the projects at information points and in public spaces, as well as help them vote in a simplified format. Anyone over 14 years old can become a volunteer. To join the volunteer project, one must register on the Dobro.RF website," Vladimir Bespalov reported. "I am very pleased that the 'Urban Environment' project is not limited to the construction of new spaces and repairs but also organizes subbotniks to maintain order. The Marat embankment is a place of attraction for Nizhny Novgorod residents and city guests, and its appearance directly affects the overall impression of Nizhny. It is great that active participants in the 'Urban Environment' project set an example: through their work, they show that caring for the city is everyone's responsibility. Such events not only ensure cleanliness but also foster a respectful attitude towards public space.
