      April 29, 2026 17:10 Economy Experts from the Regional Competence Center (RCC) together with employees of LLC "KomTehMash" from Arzamas summarized the interim results of implementing lean technology tools at the enterprise as part of the federal project "Labor Productivity" of the national project "Effective and Competitive Economy." Specialists from the regional competence center work at the participating enterprises of the federal project for six months. After three months, an Information Day takes place, during which RCC experts and the project team summarize the results and present the final schedule of activities to achieve the goals to the enterprise's management. The main activity of the company is the production, supply, and servicing of spare parts for municipal machinery. The process of manufacturing non-standard tanks was chosen as the pilot flow. "The enterprise's working group, together with specialists from the regional competence center, analyzed the processes at the pilot site and identified 22 'bottlenecks.' Among them are the non-optimal transportation process, excessive labor intensity in the process of searching for parts, as well as time losses at certain stages. Solutions were proposed for each of these points. The implementation of the RCC specialists' proposals will allow for a 13 percent increase in output by the end of the project," said Maxim Cherkasov, Minister of Industry, Trade, and Entrepreneurship of the Nizhny Novgorod Region. RCC experts have already trained 15 company employees in lean technologies and are preparing two internal trainers. They will be able to conduct training independently in the future. In the Nizhny Novgorod Region, more than 40 companies in the automotive industry are implementing lean technologies. A total of 317 regional companies are participants in the federal project "Labor Productivity."
