The authorities announced a new auction for the expansion of the Novo-Striginsky cemetery.

      On April 29, 2026, at 09:16, Society In Nizhny Novgorod, an electronic auction has been announced again for the construction of the second phase of the municipal cemetery "Novo Striginskoye." This is reported on the state procurement website.

      Recall that the previously announced auction for the construction of the second phase of the cemetery was declared unsuccessful as no applications were received.

      As before, the customer for the work is the MBU "GlavUKS." It is planned to spend 347.6 million rubles on it. Applications are accepted until May 14, and the results will be announced on May 18.

      The project provides for the expansion of the cemetery by an area of almost 19.3 hectares. The new territory is located along the southern, southwestern, and southeastern borders of the existing burial site. It is planned to create 20,644 burial places here.

      The area directly for burials will be over 107 thousand square meters, with about 25.8 thousand square meters for driveways. Landscaping will occupy over 149 thousand square meters.

      Currently, the site is a flat area with birch and aspen trees. There are no buildings or engineering networks on it. Field roads and ditches run across the land. To the south and southeast, there are unnamed lakes.

      The contract includes general construction works, the arrangement of driveways, sidewalks, and platforms, fencing, outdoor lighting, and drainage, laying internal and external water supply and sewage networks, installation of ventilation and fire alarms. The construction of canopies, toilets, fire tanks, a watering reservoir, container sites, landscaping, and improvement of the territory is also planned.

      The work must be completed from the moment the contract is signed until December 20, 2030. Funding is provided from the budget of Nizhny Novgorod for 2026-2030.
