Treason to the Motherland: The FSB detained a Nizhny Novgorod resident working for the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

      On April 29, 2026, at 12:06, Incidents: Employees of the Nizhny Novgorod FSB detained a resident of Kstovo born in 2001. He is suspected of treason. According to the agency, the young man was recruited by Ukrainian special services. As established by operatives, he was carrying out tasks related to collecting funds from Russian citizens. The money obtained was transferred by the suspect to bank accounts specified by representatives of the foreign special service. It is believed that these funds were directed to finance the Armed Forces of Ukraine. A search was conducted at the Nizhny Novgorod resident's home. Electronic data storage devices were seized from him.

      A criminal case has been initiated against the detainee on the grounds of a crime under Article 275 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation. By court decision, he has been placed in custody. It was previously reported that the Nizhny Novgorod resident was sentenced to 14 years in a colony for recruitment in the interests of Ukraine.
