Eight cemeteries in the Kstovo district have been closed for burials.
On April 29, 2026, at 16:49 Society In the Kstovo district, eight municipal cemeteries have been closed for free burials. This is stated in the resolution of the administration of Nizhny Novgorod. The decision was made due to the complete use of their territory. However, burials are not completely halted. It is still possible to bury in family and ancestral graves on these territories, in compliance with current sanitary requirements. The cemeteries in question are:
- The "city cemetery" in Kstovo on Magistralnaya Street;
- The "city cemetery" in the area of the village of Studenets (approximately 1.3 km north of the landmark);
- The "cemetery in the village of Bezvodnoye" (upper part, plot No. 8);
- The "Shelokshanskoye cemetery" in the village of Sheloksha;
- The "cemetery in the village of Chaglava" (plot 1K);
- The cemetery of the village of Bolshaya Yelnya (approximately 950 m southeast of the settlement);
- The cemetery in Kstovo on Komintern Street, plot 1;
- The cemetery in Kstovo on Komintern Street, plot 2.
It was previously reported that the Novo-Striginskoye cemetery in Nizhny Novgorod will be expanded. More than 20,600 places are planned to be created there. Authorities are looking for a contractor to carry out the work. By the way, additional plots for new burials are being formed in the territories of the "Novo-Sormovskoye," "Sorting," in the village of Sheloksha, and on plot No. 2 near "Teplichnoye."
