"We must seize the opportunities": the sports director of "Pary NN" on the new coach

      April 29, 2026 16:59 Sports The sports director of "Pari Nizhny Novgorod," Anton Evmenov, commented on the decision to entrust the position of head coach to Vadim Garanin. According to the official, the team intends to fight for its place in the RPL until the last round.

      "As long as there is even the slightest chance of staying in the RPL, we must hold on to it. The club has placed great trust in me in choosing a coach with whom we can attempt to do the necessary work and who stylistically fits the team," noted Evmenov.

      He emphasized that he understands the level of responsibility for the personnel decision made.

      "I fully understand and share the responsibility for the personnel decision made. Vadim Vyacheslavovich is, first and foremost, a very great professional in his field, and, equally importantly, a person with personal qualities that are on par with coaching mastery. His agreement to help the club where I work during such a difficult moment in the season is confirmation of that," stated the sports director.

      Evmenov added that the team still has opportunities to improve its standings. There are nine points at stake in the remaining matches, and the team intends to do everything possible to improve its current position in the standings. By the way, "Pari Nizhny Novgorod" is currently in 15th place in the league table, having earned 22 points.

      Recall that Vadim Garanin took over the Nizhny Novgorod club after the dismissal of Alexey Shpilevsky. The 55-year-old specialist will lead the team in the concluding part of the 2025/2026 season. Before his appointment to "Pari Nizhny Novgorod," Garanin worked with the Lit Energy team from the Media League.
