Alexander Malov: "The program 'Heroes. Nizhny Novgorod Region' allows us to embark on the path of helping people."

April 29, 2026 16:04 Society "The 'Heroes. Nizhny Novgorod Region' program provides new opportunities, including the chance to help people. I went to the special military operation as a volunteer, proving my patriotism by personal example. And now I continue to move in the chosen direction within the framework of my training," said Alexander Malov, a veteran of the special military operation and a participant in the program.

Alexander works as a driver at one of the Nizhny Novgorod industrial enterprises. In the special military operation zone, he has already had to apply his management skills: first as a squad commander, then as a platoon commander. After returning from the front lines, Alexander Malov completed an online course as part of the federal program "Time of Heroes," and when he learned about its regional equivalent, he applied to participate without hesitation. During the training, he hopes to develop strategic thinking and leadership qualities.

"The program is very intensive; we are given a wealth of knowledge that is needed in the current situation. The special military operation has given us all a push to wake up; a new story of Russia can begin from it, and the program we are going through can help with that," noted Alexander.

The participant's mentor is Evgeny Kostin, the first deputy chairman of the Nizhny Novgorod City Duma.

"During my internship at the City Duma, I was introduced to the entire 'foundation' of the political life of the region. Evgeny Nikolaevich is a very responsible and knowledgeable specialist; I can turn to him with any question and get a comprehensive answer. I am glad to have such a mentor," shared Alexander Malov.

Let us remind you that the "Heroes. Nizhny Novgorod Region" program is aimed at integrating and employing participants and veterans of the special military operation into the system of state administration and enterprises in the region.

In March 2025, an agreement was signed between the government of the Nizhny Novgorod region, RANEPA, and KUPNO on cooperation in implementing this program.

Based on the results of the selection tests and in-person interviews with the deputy governor of the Nizhny Novgorod region, Andrey Gneushev, 60 participants for the main educational program and 30 people for training in the program for returning to the region were selected.

On August 4, 2025, the official opening of training for the "Heroes. Nizhny Novgorod Region" program took place, attended by the governor of the Nizhny Novgorod region, Gleb Nikitin. At this moment, the third educational module of the program has been completed. The NIA "Nizhny Novgorod" has channels on Telegram and MAX.
