This was reported on social media by the city's head, Yuri Shalabaev. In less than a day, residents of Nizhny Novgorod observed rain, sunshine, snow, and even hail. Soon, according to meteorologists' expectations, prolonged precipitation, namely rain mixed with snow, will arrive in the regional center. The situation is exacerbated by storm winds, with gusts reaching 23 m/s. Forces from district administrations, the emergency rescue team of the civil defense management, road services, housing management companies, and energy supply organizations have been deployed to eliminate the consequences of the bad weather. Specialists are monitoring the situation on city roads.

      "I instructed to keep equipment with anti-icing materials ready to quickly start working on the roadway and dangerous areas. So far, no intervention is required; we are monitoring," shared Yuri Shalabaev. Additionally, the mayor reminded about the importance of personal caution and recommended that residents be attentive when moving around the streets, and advised motorists to refrain from driving cars with summer tires during the forecasted snowfall.
