Family health screening at clinic No. 30 brought together nearly 120 Nizhny Novgorod residents.

On April 27, 2026, at 12:59, Society. On April 25, a preventive action called "Family Health Check-up" took place at the City Polyclinic No. 30 in Nizhny Novgorod. Medical professionals from two institutions – the City Polyclinic No. 30 and the Children's City Polyclinic No. 39 – helped adults and children undergo comprehensive medical examinations in one day. The event, organized in accordance with the goals and objectives of the national project "Long and Active Life," brought together nearly 120 residents from 23 families.

Parents, including mothers and fathers with children, as well as grandmothers and grandfathers, attended. The main advantage of the "Family Health Check-up" was the time saved for patients undergoing examinations. During the previous event held in the fall, adults could calmly undergo examinations while children were engaged in entertainment programs. This time, the organizers focused on in-depth medical support for young patients. On the day of the event, specialized medical professionals worked with preschoolers and schoolchildren, allowing for comprehensive preventive check-ups for all family members.

"While pediatricians and specialized doctors examined the children, adults could quickly take necessary tests, have an ECG done, undergo fluorography and mammography, and receive consultations from specialized doctors," explained Inna Kondratieva, the chief freelance children's specialist for medical prevention at the Ministry of Health of the Nizhny Novgorod Region and the chief physician of the Children's City Polyclinic No. 39.

Parents, especially those from large families, noted the great convenience of this format: the joint visit to the clinic eliminated the need for multiple trips to the medical facility. Careful planning of patient routing allowed the organizers to completely avoid queues, ensuring a comfortable experience for all stages of the health check-up.

Given the high demand and numerous positive feedback from residents of the Soviet District of Nizhny Novgorod, the polyclinics decided to make the "Family Health Check-up" a regular event. "We are glad that this format has received support from residents. The 'Family Health Check-up' is a contribution to making preventive medicine not only high-quality but also as accessible and convenient as possible for patients," noted Lyubov Trefilova, the chief physician of the City Polyclinic No. 30.

She added that information about the dates of upcoming events for families will be posted on the official resources of the polyclinics. "It is gratifying that the family health check-up is taking place for the second time in Nizhny Novgorod. This is truly a kind and necessary initiative. Thanks to this format, parents and children, as well as grandmothers and grandfathers, have the opportunity to see all the necessary doctors in one place and on a weekend. For busy moms and dads, who often postpone visits to the clinic due to work and daily routines, this is a real gift: they don’t have to ask for time off work, stand in queues on weekdays, but can combine the useful with the pleasant – spend time with family and take care of the health of all its members. I am sure this approach saves personal time and allows everyone to pay attention to their well-being and receive recommendations for strengthening their health. I want to emphasize that the popular program of "United Russia" pays special attention to the accessibility of healthcare for our residents," said Yuri Balashov, a deputy of the Legislative Assembly of the Nizhny Novgorod Region and the coordinator of the "Healthy Future" project of the "United Russia" party.

Let us remind you that patients' commitment to undergoing preventive measures is the key to developing a healthy society. Citizens over 18 years old can undergo preventive medical examinations annually. For patients aged 18 to 39, health check-ups are conducted every three years, and for patients over 40, annually. It should be emphasized that men and women aged 18 to 49 have the opportunity to undergo examinations for assessing reproductive health.

To undergo all types of preventive measures, one can contact the departments and offices of medical prevention in the polyclinics where they are registered, as well as submit the corresponding application on the State Services portal. The national project "Long and Active Life" has been implemented in the country since 2025 by order of the President of Russia, Vladimir Putin. It includes 11 federal projects: "Health for Everyone," "Modernization of Primary Healthcare," "Medical Personnel," "Fighting Cardiovascular Diseases," "Fighting Cancer," "Fighting Diabetes," "Fighting Hepatitis and Minimizing the Risks of Disease Spread," "Improving Emergency Medical Assistance," "Developing Federal Medical Organizations, Including the Development of a Network of National Research Centers," "National Platform 'Health,'" and "Optimal Medical Rehabilitation for Health Recovery."
