      April 27, 2026 12:41 Society Nizhny Novgorod residents have been warned about the strengthening of southeast and south winds. According to meteorologists' forecasts, from 11:00 to 14:00, gusts may reach 18-23 m/s, with such weather expected to persist throughout the day on April 28. The regional Ministry of Emergency Situations reminded that adverse weather conditions increase the likelihood of emergencies. Strong winds may lead to power and communication line breaks, disruptions in utility services, falling trees, and roof damage. The collapse of poorly secured structures, including construction cranes and large-format structures, is also possible. Residents are advised to be more cautious: stay away from power lines, trees, lightweight buildings, and unstable structures, and not to park vehicles near them. The day before, Nizhny Novgorod residents were already warned about winds of up to 20 m/s.
