Nizhny Novgorod educators can participate in the Knowledge.Mentors project.
The Russian Society "Knowledge" has announced the launch of the project Knowledge.Mentors. The initiative aims to assess the effectiveness of mentors in educational organizations, as well as to scale the best mentoring practices. "We live in a digital age where any information can be found at the click of a mouse. But even the most advanced programs cannot replace the live transmission of experience—only a person can convey true values and skills to another person, becoming a real mentor. To support such individuals, together with the Ministry of Education and Rosdetsentr, we are launching a project that will provide an opportunity to make a name for themselves and share experiences, but most importantly—to gain access to modern tools, new opportunities for professional growth, and awards for achievements in mentoring," noted Maxim Dreval, General Director of the Russian Society "Knowledge."
The Knowledge.Mentors project forms a comprehensive system for identifying, supporting, and professionally developing mentors in general education organizations and the system of secondary vocational education. Special attention is paid to enhancing the prestige of mentoring, improving educational activities, and replicating effective educational practices.
Among the key tasks of the project are the implementation of an objective rating system for assessing the achievements of mentors, the formation of a positive image of the teacher-mentor, and the development of professional competencies through a specialized educational program.
The project is conducted in the nominations "Best Mentor of a General Education Organization" and "Best Mentor in the System of Secondary Vocational Education," taking into account the number of students. This approach ensures an objective and comparable assessment of participants from different educational organizations. Participants in the project can include heads of educational organizations and their deputies, teaching staff, as well as advisors to directors on education and interaction with children's public associations.
The application period will last until June 30, 2026, on the official project website. The project includes several stages. In the first stage, participants undergo online training on the Knowledge.Academy platform and create a portfolio with the results of their mentoring activities. They will then need to complete practical tasks based on pedagogical situations and present their own mentoring practice.
Based on expert evaluation results, the best mentors from across the country will be identified. Winners will receive monetary rewards, and 200 participants who demonstrate the best results will also take part in an in-person educational program at the "Mashuk" Knowledge Center, where they can exchange experiences and best practices.
The project is conducted with the support of the Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation, Rosdetsentr, and the First Movement in accordance with the goals and objectives of the national project "Youth and Children."
Let us remind you that starting in 2025, in Russia, by the order of President Vladimir Putin, the national project "Youth and Children" began to operate, which fulfills tasks previously outlined in the national projects "Education," "Science and Universities." The national project aims to create opportunities for the development of talents and self-realization of young people, fostering responsible and highly moral individuals. At the center of the national project are the construction and renovation of schools, the professional development of teachers, the creation of new teaching methodologies, and comfortable learning conditions. Special attention is given to supporting talented youth, including young specialists. The national project includes nine federal projects and programs: "Russia – a Land of Opportunities," "We Are Together," "Russia in the World," "All the Best for Children," "Leading Schools," "Teachers and Mentors," "Creating a Network of Modern Campuses," "Universities for the Generation of Leaders," "Professionalism."
