The merchant Ryazanov's house in Gorodets was sold to an investor for 1.9 million rubles.

On April 22, 2026, at 09:44 Culture and Recreation, the cultural heritage site of regional significance "Residential House of Merchant I.P. Ryazanov" in Gorodets was sold at auction for 1.9 million rubles. This was reported by Deputy Governor Yegor Polyakov on his Max channel.

The area of the building is 146.7 square meters, and the land plot is 2364 square meters.

"The new owner of the property is an investor who already has positive experience in restoring historical real estate in Nizhny Novgorod," noted the deputy governor.

According to him, after reconstruction, a guest house is planned to be opened in the merchant mansion.

It is worth noting that the one-story wooden building was built by Isaac Pavlovich Ryazanov, a representative of a well-known merchant dynasty. He was a trusted person of his father-in-law Mikhail Lapshin, a major Old Believer steamboat owner and founder of the joint-stock company "Khiva," established in 1910. The house has a symmetrical layout. Inside, spacious wooden halls, a vestibule, and a veranda have survived. The original decorative elements—antique doors, ceiling cornices, and four stoves—retain special historical value.

Earlier, it was reported that the house of merchant Bashkirov in Gorodets was sold for 12.8 million rubles.

Let us remind you that a unified portal for historical real estate has been launched in the region, which lists properties for sale.
