Three new rabies outbreaks have been detected in the Nizhny Novgorod region.

Since April 13, the village of Mikhalkichkovo in the Kstovo district has been recognized as an unfavorable point. Since April 14, quarantine has been in effect in the village of Mikheevka in the Ardatov district. The focus is located in the territory of the public organization "Nizhny Novgorod Regional Society of Hunters and Fishermen" within a radius of one kilometer from the coordinates 55.135905, 43.131977. On the same day, the village of Rizadeevo in the Ardatov district was also recognized as an unfavorable point. The epizootic focus is located in the territory of publicly accessible hunting grounds within a radius of one kilometer from the coordinates 55.293570, 43.268353. During the quarantine period, the treatment of sick susceptible animals, visits to the areas by unauthorized persons, the import and export of animals (except for those vaccinated within the last 179 days and sent for slaughter), their movement and regrouping, skinning of carcasses, as well as hunting, except in cases of population regulation, are prohibited in the foci. In the unfavorable points, fairs, exhibitions, and other events related to the gathering of animals, the export of animals (except for those sent for slaughter or vaccinated within 179 days), as well as the capture of wild animals for transfer to zoos, are banned.
